CWA 17089 published as CEN document

CWA 17089 “Indicators for the sustainability assessment of roads”, has been published by CEN after a year of work in the CEN Workshop SUSTINROADS “Sustainability assessment of roads”.

This document provides a recommended common set of indicators, which can be used for the sustainability assessment of future or existing road structures, and has considered other standardization developments like prEN 15643-5, drafted in CEN/TC 350/WG 6, including the modularity principle established in EN 15804 or EN 15978.  

The first draft of this CWA was based on the results of LCE4ROADS project, as part of the dissemination, with the participation of the partners of the consortium, the Chairmanship of Mr. Carlos Martín-Portugues (Acciona, project coordinator) and Secretariat of AENOR (Spanish Standardization Body.
